What should you do?
February 2, 2012 - QOTD
8-handed with the blinds at $1/2, a tight regular limps from early position and it's folded to you. You raise to $10 in the cut-off with A♥Q♥ and the limper is the only one who calls. The flop comes T♥ 3♠ 8♠ and the limper checks. You fire $18 and he calls. The turn is the 2♦ and he checks again.
Correct Answer: Bet
This is a good spot for a double barrel. When your opponent limps then calls a raise in early position, it usually means he has a small pocket pair. Of those, none are probably going to fold to one barrel on the flop, so once he calls you can almost always get him to fold his underpair to a second barrel on the turn. Fire $40 and expect a fold.
