Question

In a $1/$2 game online it’s folded to you on the button and you raise to $8 with K♠K♣. The small blind folds and the very tight big blind is the only caller. The flop comes J♥ 4♠ 9♣. He checks and you bet $13. He calls and the turn comes J♦. He checks.

Correct Answer: Bet-fold

Even though your opponent is tight and the top card paired, there is still value in betting this turn. The BB may call a second street with #Tc#Th, or he may even have a hand like #Qh#Qc. Either way a bet on the turn is your best bet … although if he raises, it’s an easy fold.
