What should you do?
February 3, 2012 - QOTD
You are in the later stages of a 2 table home tournament with about 12 big blinds left and the blinds at $1/2. 5 players still need to be eliminated until you get into the money. In this hand, it's folded around to you in the hi-jack position with 7♥8♥.
Correct Answer: Raise All-in
The best play is to raise all-in. If you raise small and are shoved on, you'll be priced in to call anyways so just shove all-in and take the option of shoving away from your opponents. By raising you also give yourself fold equity. You have just over 10bb and every blind steal adds to your stack and gives you another orbit around the table. Even if you're called, your hand has plenty of possibilities.
